[ Ocha Potter Golf Days will not be offered in 2026 ]
The golf course is only available for lodging guests, as the Lodge is a lodging establishment (i.e. our focus is on cabin guests). However, we do provide special days in which non-lodging guests have access to the golf course one day each month during the golf season — with the understanding that we are a historic wilderness golf course and maintain the golf course as such (not your typical urban golf course) and we expect golfers to be aligned with the Lodge team’s core values. These special golf days are “Ocha Potter Golf Days“.
The special days each month are:
- Second Saturday in June
- Second Saturday in July
- Second Saturday in August
- Second Saturday in September
- Second Saturday in October

Reminder: There are other wonderful golf courses in the Keweenaw. So if you do not like our policies or if you are looking to play golf on other days, those golf courses are there for you to play. And if you are so inclined, develop your own golf course in the Keweenaw (beautiful land for you to carve your own golf course for your own liking, and to understand better how a golf course is maintained).
If you want to play on one of the Ocha Potter Golf Days, you will need to call or email in advance to make a tee time. You can book up to 6 months advance. There are no same day tee times, and no walk-ins. A maximum of 44 people are allowed to book for the day – 9-hole rounds only.
When booking, full green fee payment is to be made for the special golf day (payment over the phone). At the time of booking (and payment), the names of each individual in the group should be provided (as the payment is associated specifically with each person playing). No refunds, and no transfers from one person to another the green fee.
We encourage walking, and offer pull carts as part of your round. It is best to reserve the pull carts at the time of the tee if you need one to ensure there is one available for you. If you require a cart, please us know at the time of the tee and the we will put that in your tee time reservation. You pay for the cart the day you are playing, when you arrive for your tee time.
Green fee revenue generated on special golf days will be donated to an organization of choice, selected by the KML team. The current organization we are donated these green fees to is:
