The Lodge is open year-round, focused on cabin guests. We have multiple activities and operations going on at the Lodge, with our hours updated based upon the time of the season and special events. Changes to any of the hours will be updated on this page and/or the pages associated with the area of our operations (e.g. outdoor activities, dining, etc.). We are different than your normal resort, so please pay attention to our hours of operations as they are setup to provide a quiet and peaceful experience.
The Lodge is only available to Cabin Guests at this time.

Lodge Building
- The main Lodge building is open 8am – 6pm, 7 days a week
Front Desk / Lodging [ contactless check-in / check-out ]
- The front desk is staffed 9am – 6pm, except on Mondays and Fridays
- The front desk and the phones are not staffed on Mondays and in the morning on Fridays (thus, we do not answer the phones during those times)

- Outdoor Activity Center (OAC) is open 9am – 5pm, 7 days a week
- The golf course is open June 1st – October 15th, dependent on weather
- The winter trails are open December 15th – March 31st, dependent on weather
- Stargazing year-round at night (the outside property is accessible to non-cabin guests at night for stargazing from 7pm to 7am, see map; no camping allowed)
- Little Cabin Cafe: 8am-5pm, 7 Days a Week
- The Tasting Post: Private dinners only (advanced reservations required)
- Lodge Life Shop (gift shop)
- The shop (in the Lodge building) is open 9am – 6pm, 7 days a week

Staff Holidays
The Lodge is a year-round resort. However, we do close for staff holidays November 16 – December 14 and the month of April (except during the days of the annual Upper Peninsula Dark Sky Festival).
In April, we open during the annual Upper Peninsula Dark Sky Festival, with the dates of the festival changing each year in alignment with International Dark Sky Week (which is in alignment with the new moon in April). However, the rest of the April is closed for staff holiday.
These holiday periods give staff the ability to take a holiday and relax in between busy seasons at the top of the Keweenaw.
