For those cabin guests staying at the Lodge between August 10th and August 14th, 2026, you will want to be aware that US Hwy 41 will be closed due to construction. To get to the Lodge to stay in your cabin, you will want to do take the detour along M26.
The reroute will be at the M-26/US-41 intersection in Phoenix to Copper Harbor, with a posted detour onto M-26.
MDOT’s description of the project is as follows:
“US-41 will be closed to through-traffic from the M-26/US-41 intersection in Phoenix to Copper Harbor, with a posted detour onto M-26. US-41 will remain open to local traffic on both sides of the project area. The detour is expected to last until Aug. 14.
This work will replace culverts that have reached the end of their service life, extending the lifespan of the roadway and increasing safety for motorists.”
