Great Lakes Aurora Dark Sky Jamboree (GLAD JAM)

Visit Keweenaw, the regional tourism agency, has organized the Great Lakes Aurora Dark Sky Jamboree (GLAD JAM) to celebrate and education patrons about the dark skies that are viewable when in the Keweenaw.

NOTE: The Great Lakes Aurora Dark Sky Jamboree (GLAD JAM) is a four-day celebration of the Northern Lights and night sky in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Each day features a mix of free, public programming alongside a curated selection of paid, registration-only experiences.

The Rozsa Center Speaker Session (Saturday afternoon) is the core paid event, but other ticketed experiences include Friday’s Welcome Reception and Sunday morning’s Farewell Breakfast Gathering. The schedule below indicates if experiences require paid registration or not.

All other events—including star parties, guided hikes, and exhibits—are free and open to the public. Discounted college student pricing is available for ticketed events – please present your student ID when you arrive at registration.
