Natural Doors is an organization being setup by the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge to focus on various projects that are not being addressed in the market place by for-profit entities and not being addressed by governmental agencies. The organization is being setup as a non-profit, 501c3.
This project was initially thought about in November 2022 by Chris Guibert and John Mueller when talking with James Edward Mills. The initial focus was around what James was working on, but has since expanded to be the non-profit arm of the KML. What KML can’t do as a for-profit entity, it can do as a non-profit entity. That said, KML works initially to try to do projects under the KML umbrella. However, not everything fits into the focus of the KML and thus gets referred to the Natural Doors organization.
