Over the past several years been researching and monitoring the development of autonomous mowers for golf courses.
Yarbo
In 2026, we started talking with Yarbo about using their autonomous mowers, which are a module setup.
We purchased 1 of the cores and the lawn mower pro in June 2026. We installed in July 2026, and have been testing it on holes 5, 6, and 9 — mowing the fairways. Initially at 0.8″, but that scalped the grass as we have a good amount of thatch in the fairways. As well, our fairways are bumping, and the unit scalped on the low and high spots. We moved the height of cut to 1.1″, and will slowly move it down to the optimal height.
The Yarbo Mower Pro can mow up to 6 acres, and is a modular unit. During hte summer we are initially using the mower pro module with the Yarbo core. And we can also use a snow blower module during the winter.
Below are some pictures and videos from the initial test of the first Yarbo mower.

Echo Robotics
We tested an installation with Echo Robotics — started talking with them in 2023, and did an install in June 2025 to see if we could get one of them to work.
“With a maximum working area of 15 acres, the TM-2050 Turf Mower gives your turf a freshly mowed look all day, every day. ”
Monday – Wednesday, June 23rd – 25th, 2025, the Echo crew worked on an install of a TM-2050 on the Lodge golf course. The team tried to map hole 1 first, but the mower lost “trust” in it’s location halfway down the hole. So we then tried mapping holes on top of the hill. The team was able to map holes 5 and 4 successfully. And then after dinner that night (Tuesday, June 24th), the team wanted to try to map hole 6. The mower had lost “trust” in it’s location at that time. The team tried again on Wednesday morning, but the “trust” connection was intermitted. So we decided to call it quits, and stop the install. The Echo team uninstalled the mower, and removed the installation. So the install of an autonomous mower isn’t working…yet.
Below are some pictures and videos from the install session.
