We exist to get people closer to nature. Log cabins in the pines at the top of the Keweenaw — tell us what you are after and we will show you how well it lines up, and which cabin fits.
We are a lodging establishment. The Keweenaw Mountain Lodge rents historic log cabins, and we exist to get people closer to nature. Everything here is for cabin guests only — the dining, the golf, the trails, and the activities are all part of a cabin stay. As a lodging establishment, we are not a public restaurant, not a public golf course, and not a day resort.
Why fill this out before you book? Some guests have reserved a cabin without realizing the Lodge is built entirely around getting people closer to nature — quiet, remote, and unhurried — and without that understanding, a stay can disappoint. Because we keep the number of reservations small, fit really matters here: even one guest who is not a match makes the stay less enjoyable for them and for our team. This short form helps you do a little research first, understand what we are about, and make sure a cabin stay is one you will genuinely enjoy before you reserve. If you would rather not take a few minutes for this survey, that is usually a sign the Lodge is not the right fit — the guests who love it here are the ones glad to understand the place first.
The Lodge marries its 1930s history with the future — honoring the past without living in it, to reach a vibrant, progressive present. It is quiet, rustic, and remote, built around time outdoors, rustic worldly food, and education woven through all of it. It is a place to get closer to nature — not a social club, a party scene, or a celebration venue — and it is not looking to become one. Memories of past visits are wonderful, but returning guests hoping to celebrate the way they did decades ago will find a changed place. As a Certified B Corp and an Audubon International green lodging establishment, we do business for good. It is not a screening of who you are; answer for the trip you are picturing and you will get a straight read plus a cabin recommendation.
This sends you to the right set of questions.

The cabins are historic WPA-era log structures, most built between 1936 and 1940 — ask the staff about the story of the one you are in.
