What is Dawg Daze? Dawg Daze is a fun event that celebrates the winter, trails and dogs. There will be four events: a time trial skijoring race called the “Perimeter Dog Derby” that circumnavigates the Perimeter Loop, a dog and human costume contest, a best trick contest and an award for the furriest dog. Great Bear Chase

The Great Bear Chase takes place in Calumet, on the Swedetown trails. It is a cross country ski race that was started in 1980. The resort is open, and we have cabins open for visitors to rent during the race. http://www.greatbearchase.com

Each spring the Copper Harbor Trails Club organizes a cleanup session with volunteers to clear the trails for the coming season. In mid-may, the "Flower Moon" will enter the shadow of the Earth -- late evening of May 15th and early morning of May 16th. This will cause a total lunar eclipse.
