Hole 1

Widely considered one of the most scenic golf courses in Michigan, your golf round at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge starts by overlooking Brockway Mountain – the highest peak in the Keweenaw Peninsula. This vantage point is even more stunning during the color season in October!

Hole No. 1 features a wide fairway with undulations throughout its length and large moguls on the right side closest to the Lodge cabins. Long grass, rock outcroppings, tree roots and other natural topography define the rough on this hole and throughout the wooded course. A generous green offers ample space to make – or save – par.

Men and women all start from the same tee box, which is just steps away from the course Pro shop. Low handicap golfers who want more length on the hole can opt for teeing ground located 10 yards to the rear. Blue tee markers direct your shot and can also be used for a second round of nine holes.

HOLE TIP:

With a clear view of the green from the primary tee box, a well-driven ball to the left-center of the fairway will funnel toward the green. Avoid the right side of the fairway or risk playing from the rough and cabins!
