The Lodge is a no judgement zone. We are not looking for reviews (be them positive or negative), nor are we looking to solicit feedback (which is a form of judgement). We want people to just be — to Be in Nature — when they are staying with us, and when they return home.
In today’s day and age, many people are trying to show their importance in the world and want to express their knowledge of a place, including the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. However, as a relaxing historic resort at the top of the Keweenaw in Michigan, one should not be thinking about writing reviews when they are staying with us. They should just be….in nature.
If you love what we are doing, that is wonderful. Express that in person and in normal conversations. Please do not express that in an explicit review online or via social media, as that is a form of judgement (even though it is a positive form of judgement as it relates to your experience at and with the Lodge).
If you do not love what we are doing, that is also fine, as there are many other fine establishments in the world and in the Keweenaw. We are not for everyone, as we are unique and focused on a niche in order to have people detox from their everyday lives and get them closer to nature.
However, what is not fine is someone expressing negativity or anger at the Lodge and the Lodge staff because they did not get what we do not provide — and then try to bully us via negative reviews. If you do not like what we are doing, remember the world is big enough for you to find where you fit in other places than the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge.
