Make a Decision, Not a Comparison

When thinking about staying with us in a cabin at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge, it should be a decision of yes or not. It should not be a comparison to other lodging establishments.

We are not for everyone, as we are unique. We are unique enough, being a WPA-era resort that is rustic, that one either wants to be here in the wilderness to get closer to nature, or not.

We are not making you coming, as it should be your decision to want to stay with us.

If you do not want to stay with us, that just fine, as there are many other fine establishments in the world and in the Keweenaw

However, what is not fine is someone expressing negativity or anger at the Lodge and the Lodge staff because the Lodge is not an establishment that one wants us to be. e.g. like what the Lodge was in the 1970s to the early 2000s — when it was a party place, rather than a quiet place to get people closer to nature.
