The All-Sky Camera is down for maintenance work – May 1st, 2024

The image below is an image of the current skies at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. The image is taken from the roof of the Lodge building at KML, and is updated every 5 minutes.

After getting the All-Sky Camera working and placed outside, it has recorded its first time lapse video of the Keweenaw dark sky.

One of many nights where the All-Sky Camera was able to capture the Keweenaw Northern Lights.

KML All-Sky Camera – Night of December 1st, 2023 – Dec. Northern Lights

The All-Sky Camera was able to capture the Northern Lights before the moon rose and lowered the visibility of the Northern Lights.

KML All-Sky Camera – Night of May 10, 2024 – Northern Lights Showing Through Cloud Cover

This time lapse video shows how the Northern Lights were so strong that they they were seen through the cloud cover on the All-Sky Camera.
